Logo Mugs Collection

Different people collect different things. Some collect stamps, bottle caps, toys, and sometimes, girlfriends. As for me, I’ve been collecting promotional logo mugs for as long as I can remember. A lot of my friends oppose it, saying I’m getting to old for my hobby, but I don’t think I can stop this now.

The company that I work for agree to what I’m doing. My boss once said that everybody should have something to divert their minds off the rigors of work. To him, it wouldn’t matter if his right hand man had a hobby, like I’m going to ruin the corporate identity that we both worked hard to build in almost a decade.

My inkling for collecting this stuff all started when I saw a lot of promotional logo barwares and carafes at a local museum. Well, I think it started that way, or maybe my parents brought me there because they already saw my interest in them. For sure, I seriously started collecting those giveaways around some time after that trip.

Now that I have a family of my own, I’m beginning to teach my kids that they should have their own hobby. My oldest likes to collect promotional logo coaster and drink holders, while my youngest wanted to collect dolls as a hobby. The fruit really doesn’t fall far from the tree right?

It feels good to think that I’m doing something right. Those promotional items were my diversions, and all of them keep me young at heart.
